Drone Warfare Centre
The Drone Warfare centre is the HHDRS’s second research facility under the direction of Emeritus Professor Festus Scrötal. Working in close partnership with the Genetics Research Laboratory, the Drone Warfare Centre is designed to meet two principal objectives.
The firstly is to place the HHDRS at the forefront of modern warfare through the development of highly profitable automated terrestrial, aquatic and airborne surveillance and killing technologies. While the commercial benefits are obviously a key part of our focus, the role these technologies can play in the defence of the HHDRS from external attack are equally important. To this end, Scrötal’s laboratory is on the cusp of producing a self-reproducing robot assassin which promises to eliminate entirely the fetters of human consciousness and ethics in the conduct of warfare. While the terrestrial and marine versions of these marvels of modern science have entered pre-production, minor problems with the jet propulsion systems and rotor blades have unfortunately delayed work on the airborne models.
Once again the HHDRS has broken through scientific barriers with the world’s first ‘breeding pair’ (male and female) of robot assassins. The breakthrough technology has been captured on a collaborative scientific recording by Professor Scrötal and our very own Head of Entertainment Philippe, who features in the pedagogical video wearing a protective latex outfit and wielding a can of machine oil. The study is available under the title ‘Sex Trek:The Next Penetration’,
The second objective is to enhance the ability of the HHDRS to capitalise on the highly lucrative robotic romance market through the development of lifelike cyborgs for lonely hearts looking for a programmable companion. Early market research suggests an enormous untapped market for such devices, especially among the growing Incel movement and the Andrew and Tristan Tate Fanclub. The recent mishap whereby a prototype (Model 26-XXL Imelda Marcos iv) ran amok and castrated a laboratory assistant, has set back anticipated production dates. But the problem has now been traced to a leak in the prophylactic housing containing the silicon lubricant and Scrötal and our in-house robot test pilot Philippe are confident the new improved model and ‘Sex Trek:The Next Penetration’, will be on Sexyland shelves before Christmas.
