Publications and International Outreach

The Publications and International Outreach unit is vital to the HHDRS’s goal of promoting the legacy of Sir Harold Holt to as wide an audience as possible.  The unit is responsible for disseminating works by and about Sir Harold Holt, his vision for Australia; as well as works chronicling the heroic efforts of individuals such as Dr. Erstwhile Truthwright to rescue Sir Harold from his Communist Chinese prison , and communicate these facts to preschools, schools, universities, academic think tanks, airport lounges, public hospital waiting areas and other places where Aussies are likely to linger for hours and even days.

These historically instructive publications come in many styles, each calibrated to the age and comprehension levels of different recipients.  From colouring books sent to kindergartens and One Nation headquarters, monosyllabic picture books dispatched to primary schools and National Party members, and even lewd Holt themed calendars sent to AFL and Rugby League teams, the Publications and Outreach office plays a critical role in keeping alive the fire of Holtism.

Recent examples include a colouring book version of the Old Testament retold through the life of Sir Harold Holt and an updated and improved version of Homer’s Odyssey  authored by Dr Truthwright and titled, “Harold’s Odyssey” (legal action against UK film director Christopher Nolan pending).  Several of these are available to purchase from our on-line store.

The HHDRS outreach program is not, however, confined to Australia.  Recognising the interconnected nature of our modern world, and cognisant of the fact that many of those who seek to migrate to Australia are inspired to do so because of the legacy of Sir Harold Holt, the Publications Unit works to propagate the story of Sir Harold Holt in as many countries and through as many cultures as possible.  We see this endeavour as a form of soft power – influencing others through ideas and symbolism which creates a cultural prophylactic against the malevolent disinformation spread by the Communist Party of China and its Holt-hating acolytes in Amnesty International and the International Criminal Court.

While the HHDRS enjoys long-standing sister-society agreements with the William McKinley Assassination Recreation Fellowship in the US, the Lord Lucan Players in the UK, Austria’s Archduke Franz-Ferdinand Motorcade Cooperative, and the Rajiv Ghandi Tobogganing and Waterslide Park in New Delhi, discussions are well-advanced on formalising agreements with a range of new partner reenactment organisations.  These include the Ho Chi-Minh Orienteering Club in Hanoi, the John F. Kennedy Carpooling Cooperative in Dallas and the Julius Ceasar Toga Troupe in Rome.
