IMPORTANT UPDATE: The outbreak has been contained

Members are advised of the wonderful news that the troublesome and surprisingly persistent gonorrhoea outbreak at the HHDRS has now finally been contained.

All travel and partnering restrictions have been lifted as of 11 March 2025. Dr Truthwright, has confirmed that the Society is now officially Gonorrhoea Free, following the investigations and treatment programme led by Professor Scrotal.

Dr Truthwright’s update outlines the circumstances surrounding the outbreak, the work undertaken to address it and the successful outcome. The Society’s new Gonorrhoea Free certification has been marked by an approved logo, with commemorative T-shirts commissioned and the design also available through the King Charles Royal Tattoo Studio.
