HHDRS provides a wide range of Memberships.
Memberships range from Rinehart to Lint. Some membership category options are profiled.
The Membership Office manages applications from aspiring joiners as well as existing member’s requests for promotion to higher ranks. It is also responsible for constantly reviewing and calibrating existing tiered membership categories and overseeing the benefits and restrictions associated with each. As of September 2026, these membership categories are as follows (ranked basic to elite):
Dr Erstwhile Truthwright enjoying happy hours in the Rhino Horn Lounge. (Membership Category is by invitation only. Champagne Fountain is activated between 3-8pm weekdays)
Tungsten Category membership can be earned through status credits and written application with two nominees. Subject to Membership Committee approval. Enjoyed by luminaries such as resident crooner Philippe, it is trouser optional on weekends. Waiting list applies.
Due to ongoing renovations and borer activity, the Sand Flea Member lounge is now strictly BYO. There is a scheduled increase in fees for this category to cover renovations and beverage upgrades in the Rhino Horn Lounge.
Membership Office

The office also handles enquiries from members regarding matters such as parking fines, alleged food poisoning resulting from on-site catering, lost and found, dress code violations and the quarterly in-house magazine Harold’s World.
The Membership office also maintains the only authoritative ledger containing data on the HHDRS Loyalty Points program. The program clearly outlines the status points and qualities required for advancement to higher level memberships. Note: upward advancement is not guaranteed. Membership levels are subject to capacity restraints and all determinations are made in strict privacy.
While the Membership Office currently falls within the responsibilities of Fraü Gretchen von Ribbentrop, the impending appointment of former QANTAS CEO Alan Joyce as Membership Services Manager will become effective in early 2027 and lead to the creation of a separate administrative unit.

It should be noted officers of the HHDRS are bound by the strict Membership Rules governed by the Membership and Car Parking Sub-Committee. In particular any advancement in membership category ranking is governed by the standing articles XVII(section vii). This prohibits solicitation, begging, complaints and threats addressed to Committee members.
